New River Valley Bird Club

Birders exploring Virginia's NRV and Beyond

Warblers. Raptors. And more.

We are a chapter of the Virginia Society of Ornithology dedicated to the enjoyment and understanding of the Commonwealth's nearly 500 bird species. We offer monthly educational meetings in Montgomery County and guided field trips in Radford and the counties of Montgomery, Floyd, Giles, and Pulaski during the spring and fall migrations.

We meet at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month from September through May at the Blacksburg Community Center at 725 Patrick Henry Dr.
